Wipro Consumer Care acquires Good Home, Eva brands from TTK Healthcare for ₹256 cr
AI Summary
Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting has acquired the Good Home and Eva brands from TTK Healthcare for ₹256 crore, enhancing its footprint in the home care and personal care markets. This strategic move, which values the brands at 1.7 times their FY26 revenue of ₹148 crore, aims to capitalize on the growing demand for premium hygiene products and expand Wipro's consumer base, particularly among younger demographics. The acquisition is expected to leverage Wipro's strong distribution network to boost sales across various retail channels.
Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting has signed definitive agreements to acquire the Good Home and Eva brands from TTK Healthcare for ₹256 crore, strengthening its presence in the home care and personal care segments as it sharpens its focus on high-growth consumer categories through acquisitions.
The two brands together generated revenue of ₹148 crore in FY26, valuing the transaction at about 1.7 times revenue. The acquisition is Wipro Consumer Care’s 17th and adds established brands in air care, household cleaning and deodorants to its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) portfolio. The company, part of Wipro Enterprises, reported a revenue of ₹10,800 crore in FY26.
The deal comes as demand for premium home hygiene and personal care products continues to rise, driven by higher consumer spending, greater hygiene awareness and increasing adoption of branded products. Wipro Consumer Care said the acquisition would deepen its presence in categories where it sees long-term growth opportunities while strengthening its portfolio of trusted consumer brands.
Good Home has built a presence in home care products such as air fresheners, odour removers, scrubbers and drain cleaners. Eva, one of India’s early deodorant brands, has a portfolio spanning body sprays, no-gas perfumes, underarm roll-ons and talcum powders.
The acquisition also reflects Wipro’s increasing focus on the home care segment, where it sees significant headroom for growth.
“We became very focused on growing the home care categories. Good Home strengthens our footprint across household cleaning while giving us a strong play in the mass-market air care segment,” said Neeraj Khatri, Chief Executive of Wipro Consumer Care, adding that India’s ₹2,000-crore air care market is expanding at 12-15 per cent annually.
The company also sees Eva as a strategic addition to its existing personal care portfolio. Wipro already owns Yardley, a consumer goods brand, in India, and Eva will help it widen its consumer base by targeting a younger demographic.
“Yardley is largely focused on consumers aged 25 years and above. Eva gives us a complementary opportunity to address teenagers and younger women while operating in the same fragrance and deodorant categories,” said Khatri.
According to him, India’s fragrances and deodorants market, estimated at around ₹5,000 crore, remains significantly underpenetrated. Per capita consumption is only about one-tenth of markets such as Indonesia despite comparable demographics, indicating ample room for long-term growth.
Beyond expanding the portfolio, Wipro plans to leverage its distribution network to scale both brands across traditional retail as well as modern trade and digital channels.
“We think both these brands are underleveraged in modern trade, quick commerce and e-commerce. Wipro brings a very strong distribution network, and that’s where we see significant upside,” said Khatri.
The company is also evaluating opportunities to take the products to international markets using its global manufacturing and distribution capabilities.
“Air care is becoming an exciting category not just in India but across Southeast Asia, South Africa and China. We may take the products to these markets, even if not under the same brand name. The brands may remain local, but the backend can be common. That gives us procurement scale and allows us to invest more behind the brands,” added Kumar Chander, Chief Executive Officer of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and Managing Director of Wipro Enterprises.
Chander said the acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term strategy of building leadership positions across high-potential consumer categories through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions.
“Good Home and Eva are well-established brands with a strong legacy and enduring consumer trust. We look forward to building on the equity these brands have created over the years through innovation, wider market reach and sustained investment in brand development,...
