AI Summary
Maiden Forgings has officially commenced operations at its new manufacturing facility in Bhojpur, Bihar, as part of a strategic growth initiative that includes relocating Unit II to a technologically advanced site. This consolidation is expected to yield annual savings of ₹2.5 crore and enhance the company's capabilities to secure further government contracts and expand its product offerings. The move positions MFL for accelerated growth in the B2G and defense sectors.
Maiden Forgings, a leading manufacturer of Bright Steel bars, wires and pneumatic nails, has started operations at its new manufacturing facility at Bhojpur in Bihar.
Operations formally commenced on July 18 and product dispatches started the same week.
The launch was part of a growth strategy, including complete relocation of Unit II to a larger and technologically upgraded facility, completing the first phase of the company’s broader plant consolidation programme.
MFL is now working to finalise the remaining phases of consolidation and expand its product portfolio, with further updates to follow in the coming months, said the company.
The company said Unit II has been fully relocated to the upgraded Bhojpur facility, completing the first phase of MFL’s plant consolidation strategy.
The minimum monthly savings are projected at ₹2.5 crore annually, once consolidation is complete, driven by lower administrative, power and fuel, and labour costs.
The upgraded facility strengthens MFL’s ability to pursue further approvals and accreditations, building on its existing registrations with the Ordnance Factory Board and DRDO, and its B2G orders from Hindustan Aeronautics, NTPC and BHEL.
Nishant Garg, Managing Director, Maiden Forgings, said the Bhojpur facility represents an important step in the consolidation journey and strengthens the company’s ability to serve customers with greater efficiency, scale and innovation.
Completing this first phase positions MFL to accelerate growth plans across the B2G, defence, and value-added product segments, he said.
