iD Fresh Food is stepping up its global ambitions, with plans to establish 10 manufacturing hubs across markets including Singapore, Sri Lanka, the US, the UK, Europe and Canada, over the next two years, as it prepares for a potential IPO by October FY27.
In an exclusive with businessline, Chairman & Global CEO PC Musthafa shared that the overseas expansion will be anchored by a centralised manufacturing model designed to simplify operations while maintaining product quality across markets. Under the model, around 95 per cent of the production process will be completed at dedicated facilities for each market, with only the final stage carried out locally before products are dispatched.
“The model simplifies manufacturing, ensures quality consistency and improves cost efficiency,” Musthafa said.
The expansion comes as the Bengaluru-headquartered company, which crossed the ₹600-crore revenue mark in FY25, prepares for a potential public listing around October FY27. The company is also broadening its product portfolio beyond its core fresh foods business.
While iD Fresh is expanding its protein-based offerings, Musthafa said gut health represents one of the most promising opportunities in the food and nutrition space, signalling a key area of focus for the company going forward.
The company is also ramping up its packaged snacks business. businessline had earlier reported that iD Fresh entered the category with a portfolio of seven SKUs made using ragi and oats, including masala ragi chips, pudina ragi bhujia, masala oats chips, pudina oats bhujia, corn flakes mixture, all-in-one mixture and butter murukku.
Following an initial rollout through general trade, the snacks range will enter quick commerce next week before being rolled out across the nearly 100 cities where the company already has a presence.
“We wanted to first test the products in general trade. Now we are entering quick commerce as well. The plan is to reinvest behind the category and make the products available across the 100 cities where we already operate. The next phase will be to expand the portfolio with new products,” Musthafa said.
