Dr Reddy's Laboratories reported a significant 69% decline in net profit to ₹434 crore for Q1 FY27, down from ₹1,417 crore a year earlier, alongside a 6% drop in total revenue to ₹8,070 crore. The company attributed this decline to the transition away from lenalidomide revenues and unexpected impacts related to semaglutide API, although it noted healthy double-digit growth in its base business across key geographies.

Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories’ net profit declined 69 per cent to ₹434 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared to ₹ 1,417 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The total revenue of the Hyderabad-based company declined 6 per cent to ₹8,070 crore from ₹8,545 crore in the year-ago period.

“Our Q1FY27 performance reflected the expected transition beyond lenalidomide revenues, along with an unexpected impact related to semaglutide API,’’ G V Prasad, Co-Chairman & MD, Dr Reddy’s said in a release on Wednesday.

“However, our underlying base business continued to deliver healthy double-digit growth across all key geographies. Our focus remains on improving the health of our base business through disciplined execution and operational excellence, while building our future pipeline of peptides, biosimilars, and innovative assets to deliver long-term growth,’’ he added.
