Laurus Labs Q1 net profit soars 126% to ₹368 crore

The total revenue of the Hyderabad-based company increased 29 percent at ₹2026 crore against ₹1570 crore in the year-ago period. 

 “Laurus has delivered record quarterly revenue with expanded profitability and continued its portfolio transformation. This was driven by growing commercial deliveries within CDMO and continued strength in the Affordable Medicines portfolio,’’  Satyanarayana Chava, Founder & Chief Executive Officer said in a release on Friday.

During the quarter, the company strengthened its Integrated offerings, niche capabilities and also achieved important milestones, including agreement to in-license two Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) and securing final handover of new land parcel, he added. 

The total R&D investments including capex R&D for the quarter was ₹ 118 crore which increased by 74 percent year on year due to development efforts toward building Advanced Biologics infrastructure (Gene Therapy/Antibody Drug Conjugates

Laurus Labs had in-licensed two ADC assets from Aarvik Therapeutics for development and commercialization for India markets.
