JSW Steel on Friday said its consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 4,696 crore in the quarter ended June 30, supported by increase in revenues.
It had clocked a net profit of Rs 2,209 crore in the first quarter of preceding 2025-26 financial year, the steel maker said in an exchange filing.
During Q1 FY27, total income rose to Rs 48,088 crore from Rs 43,497 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Expenses stood at Rs 41,830 crore as against Rs 40,325 crore.
JSW Steel's crude steel output increased 3 per cent to 6.59 million tonne in June quarter FY27 from 6.38 MT in April-June FY26.
During the first quarter, the company also commenced the construction of a 2 million tonne per annum steel plant in Andhra Pradesh at an investment of over Rs 16,350 crore.
