Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth at Swastika Investmart Ltd, said Caliber Mining & Logistics made a strong stock market debut, reflecting healthy investor confidence and the positive response received during the IPO.

While the listing has been encouraging, some profit booking in the near term cannot be ruled out after the sharp gain, Nyati said. Fresh investors should avoid chasing the stock at current levels and instead wait for a dip or consolidation before entering.

Overall, investors who received allotment can continue to hold the stock for the medium to long term, with a stop-loss at ₹475 on a closing basis, she said.

The IPO was backed by marquee anchors including Abakkus Fund (Sunil Singhania), Carnelian India Fund (Vikas Khemani), 3P India Equity (Prashant Jain), Helios Small Cap (Samir Arora), Quant Mutual Fund, Ashoka India Equity and Anchorage Capital Fund.

The initial public offer of Caliber Mining and Logistics received an overall 146.64 times subscription.

The non-institutional investor category was subscribed 267.36 times, while the portion reserved for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 240.71 times. The retail investors’ quota received 41.15 times subscription.

Caliber Mining and Logistics raised ₹135 crore from anchor investors.

The IPO comprised a fresh issue of equity shares worth ₹400 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of shares worth ₹50 crore by promoters. The issue was priced in the range of ₹402–424 per share.

DAM Capital Advisors Ltd was the book-running lead manager to the offer.

Incorporated in 2014, Caliber Mining and Logistics provides integrated mining services, including overburden removal, coal extraction and coal logistics. The company operates across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
