Aastha Spintex acquires Falcon Yarns to enhance capacity
Aastha Spintex, an integrated cotton yarn manufacturer, has acquired Falcon Yarns to expand its spinning capacity from 7,700 tonne to 17,457 tonne and spindle capacity from 25,920 to 61,824.
The expansion will help the company meet rising customer demand, improve operational efficiency and strengthen its position in the cotton yarn industry.
Aastha Spintex raised ₹170 crore through IPO and listed on the NSE and BSE on July 6.
Falcon Yarns operates a modern spinning facility in Gujarat with an installed capacity of 35,904 spindles and an annual production capacity of 9,757 tonne. The acquisition will strengthen Aastha Spintex’s integrated manufacturing capabilities and create opportunities to improve operational efficiencies through a larger production base. It will also enhance the company’s ability to cater to a wider customer base while supporting its long term growth strategy in the cotton yarn industry.
Divyang Jashwant Patel, Managing Director of Aastha Spintex said the acquisition aligns with the company’s long term strategy to build a larger and more efficient manufacturing platform. Falcon’s modern spinning facility complements the existing operations and will enhance production capabilities while maintaining the quality standards, he said.
“As demand for quality cotton yarn continues to grow across domestic and international markets, the acquisition will strengthen our ability to serve customers with greater scale, operational efficiency and reliability,” he said.
The expansion will support sustainable growth and create long term value for all stakeholders, he added.
Looking ahead, Aastha Spintex remains focused on expanding its manufacturing capabilities, strengthening its market presence and delivering sustainable long term growth.
